April 22nd welcomes Earth Day 2013. Ford Motor Company has a long history of embracing earth friendly practices and developing green technologies. Check out these ways Ford recycles materials in new vehicles. The new Fusion uses approximately 2 pairs of denim for sound insulation per vehicle. The new Escape takes the cake by making use of many green technologies. It uses 25 recycled plastic bottles in the carpet, the doors are insulated with a fast growing fiber called Kenaf, and up to 10 pounds of recycled cotton from jeans, t-shirts and other waste clothes insulate the dash.

Here at Ford we embrace Earth Day, check out these local organizations with the same idea!
