I can’t believe my son has two more days of school left and we are already looking forward to the 4th of July holiday next week. While many head out to catch the local fireworks show on the 4th. 4th of July Celebration in Acton, MA, July 4th
Most of the locals head out for the spectacular fireworks display at Nara Park. But did you know that the festivities start at 3 p.m.? There will be a free concert, rides and refreshments available. Shuttles are provided and the fireworks will begin right dusk and are viewable from all areas of Nara Park.

A program of favorite patriotic tunes by this 50-year-old concert band. Location: Emerson Field, Stow Street. The concert will be in the Concord Armory if it rains. Time: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with band performance at 3 p.m. Information:

Fruitlands Museum will again host the fireworks for Harvard this year. Events start at 5 p.m.
