This week we are going to continue our series on getting to know the faces of Acton Ford. This week I sat down with Mark Nelson, General Sales Manager, here at Acton Ford.
I have been with Acton Ford for about 17 years, worked in the car business for 36. Approximately 26 of those years have been in this very building, even before it became Acton Ford.
What is your favorite Ford model and why?
My current favorite is the C-Max Hybrid. The versatility, comfort and fuel economy make it an easy favorite.
What do you like most about what you do?
I really enjoy interacting with the many different people I meet. Every day brings something new and different.
What is your goal for each and every customer?
I think my many years of experience helps to deliver my goal of making every interaction a pleasant and professional experience. It has become a multi-generational experience as I am now seeing 3rd generations shopping for their new car. It is a joy to watch families grow and children come in as new customers.
What do you think is the most important aspect of your job?
I think the most important aspect of my job is to make sure the customer experience is consistent, all the time. Also, to be prepared for anything, in all areas. This can be anything from the sales experience to snow removal.
From your perspective, why should your customers do business at Acton Ford?
I personally think customers enjoy seeing the same faces when they come in to purchase their next vehicle. Acton Ford is a great place to work and I think that translates to a great place to buy cars. We really get to know our customer base.
What was the first car that you ever owned?
A 1971 green Ford Mavrick.
If you could own any car, past or present, what could be your dream car?
That is a very hard question for a big car buff, but I would have to say a ’63 Ford Galaxy, 2 door.
